T2T Partner School Districts
Cincinnati Public Schools is Ohio ‘s third largest public school district. It operates 58 schools including 13 high schools.
The Student Services Department specializes in ensuring that students with disabilities receive the instruction and support they need to achieve. Special education and related services are offered to children age three through twenty-one in public and non-public schools. The district is also well known for serving a large population of English Language Learners (ELLs) and has a welcome center designed to help these students achieve high academic standards in English. There are 63 languages other than English spoken by CPS' students and families. Spanish, French and Arabic are the most common languages found among CPS' families. Cincinnati Public Schools has been part of the Transition to Teaching project since 2006 and has been extremely satisfied with the quality of teachers trained through the University of Dayton. The new T2T focus on ELLs has also been an incentive for the district to partner with the T2T project in 2011.
