Eligibility

photo 03Transition to Teaching is a highly competitive program with a challenging and educational curriculum. In order to be considered into the program, applicants must meet basic eligibility criteria.

Potential candidates must be:

  • An experienced professional with a bachelor's degree or higher in any field other than education.
  • A recent college graduate with a bachelor's degree or higher in any field other than education.
  • A paraprofessional/ instructional assistant with a 4-year degree or a substitute teacher currently working in Ohio school districts.

NOTE: Individuals who hold any current teaching credential from the state of Ohio are not eligible to become T2T participants. Individuals with a degree in education but are not in the possession of a teaching license are welcome to be part of the T2T cohort but are responsible for the cost of the program.
